action cat visits the “YIC” machine
Look at me! I have super powers, just like you do! Can you see me? I’m now that kite of light … off in the distance.
Most of the time, you like me, I go through life with moments of cool, calm, good times, other moments of pain, challenges and bleak periods where I’m my own worst enemy. I can be all three, a tyrant, victim and on good days a wizard – weaving my way between words and worlds, people and problems with good intentions backed up by appropriate behaviour.
When the world gets too much I try to go away to a place where all is calm and in balance. I meditate.
In meditation I find silence that speaks … mindful of the moment and what is.
Hey, here I am again!

“If you are a poet, you will see clearly that there is a cloud floating in this sheet of paper. Without a cloud, there will be no rain; without rain, the trees cannot grow: and without trees, we cannot make paper. The cloud is essential for the paper to exist. If the cloud is not here, the sheet of paper cannot be here either. So we can say that the cloud and the paper inter-are.” Thich Nhat Hanh writing about inter-being
Do you see me? Am I … the dog, the plant, the stoop? Maybe I am the paper the image is drawn on …
When all this fails, as can happen, I use my secret super power, I know what mine is, what’s yours?

Dorothy Day, participating in a sit-in during the US Civil Rights movement, was a US-American journalist, social activist, and co-founder of the Catholic Worker.
With this, I am able to stand up to (or sit down with) my fears.
When all this fails, as can happen, I use my secret super power and visit the “Yes, I can machine”. There I make my wish known, I meditate on what is, and carry on with life.
I may still encounter monsters but they become my friends. I kiss them hello and ask them how they are doing. Like I greeted you when we met.
Connection. Empathy. Mindfulness. Meditation. And super powers.
Yee-haw!
